The Happy Valley Droughtmaster Stud is situated at Peachester, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland area of Queensland.

Principals Trevor and Robyn Taylor originally ran sheep and cattle on an 8000-acre property at Roma in Queensland. After leaving Roma, they lived at the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, and 13 years later, settled at Peachester, where they had no hesitation in breeding Droughtmasters again.
"We were attracted to the breed many years ago because of the straight red colour (which meant we didn't have to cull for white in the wrong place, or pink skin around the eyes, etc) the docility (we don't muster them, we just open the gate and call them) and the tick resistance (we hardly ever spray - once or twice a year at most); they are really lovely cattle to work with and seem to have no calving problems at all.

"Happy Valley has bulls and selected heifers for sale at all times. We sell only the best quality cattle for breeding purposes. If an animal doesn't measure up, it goes to the works. We will not sell inferior cattle to anyone. Our policy is to ensure our customers are happy with their choice, but if for some reason they are not, we would have no hesitation in arranging an immediate replacement or refund. Of course, any animal to be sent over a long distance (or overseas) would be thoroughly tested before delivery.
